Finance, HR, IT, Legal and other internal services have for many years adopted a business partnering model. Less common is training and development focused on helping these technical specialists build and hone their client-facing consulting skills.

This program is built for those technical professionals suddenly being asked to consult, serve, advise and direct their internal stakeholders to strong business outcomes. At the heart of the program is the professional tension between service and advice. Balancing the tension between when to ask and when to push back and suggest alternative routes through or around their problem.

Participants learn how to conduct productive consulting meetings where all issues are tabled, and good enquiry surfaces the real issues lying behind those more obvious and visible on the surface

Participants also learn how to not just support their clients technically but also emotionally as they work alongside their stakeholders to navigate the difficult and novel problems confronted by leaders in today’s organisations.
